Okay to be Happy!

Hi Everybody!!

So… are we even allowed to be happy while the world burns? Sometimes it feels like joy is a crime. Like if I smile, someone’s gonna yell, “Don’t you see what’s happening to our rights?!”And yeah—since January I’ve been glued to the doom-scroll. Real sick people, doing real harm. Our community’s taken hard, hard hits. But then I laugh at a movie, go for a walk, or have a silly moment with my honey—and I feel guilty. Like I should still be outraged, still fighting, still on 24/7.Here’s what’s real: I can care deeply and still have a head full of happy.I can fight for our lives and also live mine.I refuse to live in the panic they built for me. I show up when it’s time to act. But I also show up for joy. Living room picnics. Useless adventures. Snort-laughing with the people I love. That’s resistance, too. That’s survival. That’s us.
Luv luv luv!!!
